Faux Postage/Artistamps: Take your basic stamping knowledge to a smaller arena of art. Create small pieces that can be used as is or taken to a copy shop to be color copied. You will have the opportunity to use direct to paper methods to decorate tags and envelopes with designs that look like postage stamps. You will be using a direct-to-paper technique using Color Box pigment inks as well as Ancient Page permanent inks. You can see samples of these in most of the recent stamp magazines. Bookmaking Classes: Teaches basic techniques. The pictures depict samples of how the books may turn out. Depending on my supply availability, sizes could vary for some of the books and may not be exactly as shown. Make sure that information is passed onto the students. Students can take any class. They do not need prior book making experience to take any of these classes.
Bookmaking I - In this class the student will complete four (4) projects that are easy to make, A matchbook style booklet, small accordion book, a self-binding book and a checkbook cover. Need 2.5 hours for class.
Bookmaking II - In this class the student will create three (3) hard cover books suitable for gift giving and journals. The following books will be made in class: an accordion book, a spineless Japanese Stab Binding, and a Japanese Stab Binding book with a spine. Need 2.5 hours for class.
Bookmaking III - In this class the student will make two (2) projects that have alternative bindings. One will be similar to a Japanese Stab binding done with Asian print papers and chopsticks. The other will be a notebook style book w/nuts & bolts or Chicago posts. Need 2.5 hours for class.
Starbook - In this class the student will complete one (1) star book. Need 3 hours for class. Pick for picture, And here for another, And another.
Folding Picture Frame: Send those photographs already framed and ready to display. Create 4 folding frames that are nice enough to give as gifts. Pick for picture.
Tag Art: They're al.1 the rage these little shipping tags. Use them as gift tags, unusual cards or as part of cards. Learn direct to paper and collage techniques. Need 2 hours for class.
Lumiere Techniques: This class will feature the shattered class technique on cards and tags. We will also do faux postage and card front projects not using the shattered glass technique. I will show other ideas such as decorating mint tin cans and using the little shattered glass strip leftovers as a collage element. Need 2 hours for class.
Grid Stamping: This class will take Post Modern Design RS Company's, grid-collage technique into a simpler form of stamped collage that anyone can do. We will do tag and card front projects. Need 2 hours for class.
